  Thanksgiving Weekend
  
  On Friday (Oct 6) we drove north to Iroquois Falls for a surprise Retirement party for Granpa Wint. It was a 9 hour drive and Finlay did incredibly well...he was crusty for about 10 minutes before falling asleep in his car seat.
  
  The party was on Saturday at the Mongeon's house. It was great to see everyone there. And not only was Granpa Wint surprised, but so was Granma Jane! She knew there was going to be a party, but she didn't know that we were coming along with Aunty Yo and cousins Ruby and Mac.
  
  On Sunday, we went to Aunty Lynne's house for Turkey dinner, and Finlay got to meet all his cousins from the Joseph side of the family. We had a fabulous dinner with deep fried turkey, about 10 different kinds of pie (made by Marinna) and Aunty Lynne's famous butter tarts. It was worth the drive just for the tarts. Yum! Finlay had lots of fun watching all of his cousins running around.
  
  Finlay finally did it! He broke his glasses on Sunday morning. Luckily Granpa Wint is an expert with tools, and managed to get them back together for us. We will have to keep a closer eye on him now with those glasses, cause even though we were told that they are indestructible, Finlay managed to find a way to break them.
